The signs that once hung on the castle wall and the bathhouse are now laying on the ground by the tavern covered in something red. Who took them down? Why? And what is the red substance covering them?
Tuesday at 1:30pm SLT, there was an important meeting to find solutions on the hunger in Dee. Few people showed up, lady Trixie, 1st lieutenant Delice, sir Dart and lady Jessie. Delice had bought goods, worked hard with sir Riven to cut the meat out of a horse, and to dry fishes, so for whoever was present at the meeting she was offering a plateful of fresh goods. Sir dart seemed a little uncomfortable possibly cause of too much beers. At first, the Alderman thanked lady Trixie, Delice, and others for all efforts/donations to help Dee.
Then something happened, right before Steve started his sayings. Voices were heard, with strange sayings til most saw a floating form above the castle door. The apparition seemingly unhappy of people that leads Dee, broke the crown in two pieces said finally disappeared leaving the small group in awe after saying this: “We grant you leaders for your own protection and guidance. We watch. We are not pleased with what we have seen. You, ALL the inhabitants of this isle have the ability to control the destiny if you could only stop thinking of yourselves and come together….. ” he breaks the crown in two halves ” … until one of noble character, honest, caring and a servant to the masses is shown to us, this crown will not become whole. But know this, as proof positive. The one who brings you the whole crown has the blessing of those who watch.” The alderman recovered from the astonishement, didnt comment cause it was a direct complain to him.
He spoke finally again to finish with this important task and made a quick speach, saying citizens including himself would (on their own will) take an activity, achieved with items bought from donations. His words: “People wanting to help, would go pick the right eateable plants/fruits in the forests around, we need planters to actually dry the seeds we picked and harvest them, we need a miller and a baker cause lets face it, bread should be a minimum and absolute food for everyone. We need fishers to bring fresh fish, we need money to buy goods, and breedable animals. AND hunters to try to get some wild animals too for when no breedables are available. We need farmers to breed/reproduce the animals, we need of course a butcher to cut and process the meat. We also need few people to count and distribute all the goods to people, in fair equal quantity per person. It would not be too much if someone holds tavern and makes good meals with this”
If you want to help, just come and see the Alderman to tell your name and which activity you prefer or ALREADY do.
Dart’s Occasional Dee Diary
A booming voice across the land without a mouth to speak
proclaiming that the folk in Dee are watched, though they are weak.
And shouting that the crown is torn asunder into two
and only he or she who’s just can make it into new!
A leader to come forth, it said, who’s just and wise and true
But who in Dee I ask you now , could be this leader new?
The baker, or the carpenter? Or the guard upon her rounds?
The alderman, or the hen-lady (as silly as that sounds)?
The lighthouse man who drinks too much when the drink is near enough?
Just then Dart feels a sudden lurch, like he fell off of his couch,
“It could be ME!” he tells himself and straightens up his garb
“Perhaps I need to mend my ways, surly that won’t bee too hard!”
Then reaching for his tankard with a mind to throw it out
he reflects once more, and sure enough, there’s a flicker of a doubt.
“Perhaps just one more ‘ere I change and give up on my drink
‘twill give me time to pause a bit, yes time to pause and think”
Along with the missing crown, or broken crown, there are several pieces of furniture missing from the castle. Any information on the whereabouts of said items should be reported to the Guards or Alderman.
The City and ALL of Dee seems to be in for some trouble. It sounds as if the humans and the wylds will need to come together to please these “Watchers”. But will it ever happen?
I would like to add to the Alderman’s notes of the meeting that we already do have a Butcher, Baker and Farmer who are, and have been, working hard to help the food situation. I fear the Alderman has not been reading the Cryer or he would have known about these valuable citizens. I’m also curious where he plans to buy needed supplies considering how rare it is that ships come to our shores in one piece.
